Newyorkland
Kenneth Collins (Writer, Director, Scenic Designer, Lighting Designer)
Newyorkland combined cop movies, TV police procedurals, and firsthand accounts of real-life police officers. Interviews were mixed with found text, explorations of cinéma vérité, documentary realism, and pure fiction. This production was the third and final performance in my “theater as film genre” trilogy.
This project was performed in multiple cities in North America in 2011 and 2012.
